Where money is spent, by purpose
2010 to 2011: methodology update. CSO revised how public sector pay and benefits-in-kind are allocated across functions; totals are unaffected, individual category splits may show a small step change.
2025: total expenditure is published (see the by-type chart above), but Eurostat’s breakdown by purpose arrives roughly a year behind; the slot is reserved and fills at the next data transmission.
